The Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Hon. Faiyaz Koya will officially launch the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Council of Fiji.
The launch will also be attended by the New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, H.E. Jonathan Curr, and the United States to Fiji, H.E. Joseph Cella, as well as national government and private sector representatives.
The growing international demand for outsourcing services presents opportunities for Fiji to establish itself as regional outsourcing hub, particularly for companies in Australia and New Zealand who traditionally have used outsourcing services in Asia. Following COVID-19, many of these international firms are now relooking at their outsourcing and business resilience strategies which present an opportunity for Fiji to promote itself as a “near-shore” outsourcing destination solution.
The launch of the Fiji BPO Council is viewed as a critical step to building Fiji’s reputation as an outsourcing destination.
Representatives of the media are invited to cover the BPO Council of Fiji launch.
