17 April 2026 | Press Release Suva, Fiji – Outsource Fiji today announced the appointment of Mr Chandan Ohri as its new President, marking a significant step forward for Fiji’s rapidly growing outsourcing industry.

In his maiden address, Mr Ohri outlined a clear and ambitious vision for the sector, positioning it as a key contributor to Fiji’s economic future and a competitive player in the global services market.
“It is an honour to step into this role at such a defining time for our industry. We are no longer asking to be recognised. Fiji is already on the map. The responsibility now is to consistently deliver at a level that builds long term confidence and positions us as a destination of choice,” Mr Ohri said.
Mr Ohri acknowledged the strong foundation laid by previous leadership and emphasised the importance of governance, accountability, and sustainability as core priorities moving forward.
“The industry is evolving, and so must we. Fiji should not aim to compete at the lowest level. We must lead where value is created and be known for delivering insight, reliability, and long-term partnerships,” he said.
“I am deeply honoured to accept the responsibility of serving as President, alongside an esteemed and highly capable Board. This appointment represents a collective mandate to lead with purpose, strengthen governance, and advance the strategic direction of Fiji’s outsourcing industry.
“At a time of significant global opportunity, our focus will be on elevating industry standards, deepening international partnerships, and positioning Fiji as a premier destination for high-value outsourcing services.”
Mr Ohri stressed that collaboration across government, industry stakeholders, and international partners will be essential in driving the next phase of growth, particularly in strengthening engagement.

“This industry is about opportunity. It is about creating meaningful careers, opening doors for young people, and ensuring that the next generation sees this sector as a long-term pathway for growth,” Mr Ohri said.
“By 2030, the industry is targeting 15,000 jobs and national outsourcing revenues of FJD 465 million, reflecting increased global demand and Fiji’s growing competitiveness in higher value service segments.
“This is about moving from potential to performance. We want to see a sector that is measurable, a workforce that is growing with purpose, and revenues that reflect real global confidence in what Fiji can deliver. This is a collective journey. We have the foundation, the momentum, and the people. Now it is about what we choose to do with it.”
Outsource Fiji Executive Director, Mr Josefa Wivou said today marks an important moment for Outsource Fiji which would strengthen the leadership and position the industry for its next phase of growth.
