Announcement of New President for Outsource Fiji

Outsource Fiji is pleased to announce that Mr Craig Strong, the Chief Investment Officer, BSP Life, has been elected as the new President for the Business Process Outsourcing Council (BPOC) of Fiji. The voting was done at the 4th Annual General Meeting held in Suva earlier this afternoon. While congratulating Mr Strong, the outgoing BPOC President, Mr James Mastapha said that Mr Strong’s long history of leadership, coupled with his professional experience makes him an ideal person for this role. Outsource Fiji Executive Director, Ms Sagufta Janif added that she looks forward to working with the new President and hopes to leverage his expertise and network connections to execute the industry body’s Strategic Priorities. “Our 4 pillars are to market, enable, protect and grow the industry in order to make Fiji the outsourcing destination of choice on the global stage. With the right direction that we look forward to from Mr Strong, the industry will be able to achieve its goal of becoming a sustainable pillar for Fiji’s economy”. “I also wish to thank the outgoing President, Mr James Mastapha for all his efforts towards the growth of the industry and the industry body so far. He has shown exceptional leadership in helping Outsource Fiji achieve some of its strategic goals”, she said. The term for the new BPOC President is two years. In his welcoming remarks, Mr Strong said “I’m very excited to lead the BPO Council of Fiji. A very solid platform has been laid by Outsource Fiji and some very strong work has been done by the team over last 24 months under the leadership of the former Presidents.” “As we align ourselves with the industry body’s goal to create 25,000 jobs for the people of Fiji, there is still a long way to go and there are lots of opportunities, therefore it is up to us as a Council to galvanise together and crystalise these numbers”, he added.
