Why Fiji

Tower has a long and proud history in the Pacific, having operated in Fiji for more than a century. Our two biggest markets, New Zealand and Fiji, sit in the same time zone, or within an hour’s difference during daylight saving months. Because we’ve expanded our operations in Fiji to include all core business functions our BAU operations can now operate seamlessly across both countries, as well as the wider Tower group. As the heart of our Pacific operation, Tower is investing in Fiji’s local economy which offers great strategic value. This value goes hand-in-hand with the expansion of our Suva team, which has grown from 62 FTE to over 220 in just two years, across all departments from senior management, claims and underwriting, to customer service, marketing. technology and human resources. Ultimately, as a Pacific and New Zealand business, Fiji’s cultural similarities means our access to talent in-country presents a unique opportunity to provide a better experience for all Tower customers.

Tower opened our first Pacific office in Fiji in the late 1800s and we’ve grown to have more than 20,000 customers in Fiji and the wider Pacific.
