Fiji Shines at Australia’s Leading Shared Services Event

Press Release – Fiji’s outsourcing sector has received interest from Australian shared services providers following Fiji’s participation at the 25th Australasian Shared Services and Outsourcing Week (SSOW) held from 22 to 23 June, 2022 in Melbourne, Australia.
Outsource Fiji Executive Committee President, Mr James Mastapha says that the event has allowed the organisation to showcase Fiji amongst some of Australia’s leading shared services providers, who have shown interest in outsourcing their operations to Fiji.
“Being part of the Shared Services and Outsourcing Week held in Melbourne itself is a major achievement for Fiji. This has allowed us to meet directly with some of Australia’s leading brands and promote Fiji as a premium outsourcing destination. The two-day event was an excellent opportunity for us to network and connect with these big brands, and I must say that we’ve received some great feedback and interests from potential clients who are considering outsourcing to Fiji.”
Ramco Systems Australia (one of the exhibitors at the event), Workforce Management Solutions Consultant, James Hoal says he was not aware of Fiji’s capabilities as an outsourcing destination prior to the SSOW event.
“It’s actually a big surprise for me to learn that Fiji is an outsourcing destination. We are actually looking for parallel outsource partners, and Fiji is certainly one area that we can look into right now.”
Meanwhile, Director North West at the Office of Coordinator-General (Tasmanian Government), Mr David Bennett added, “It’s fantastic to see Fiji here at the SSOW event. It’s good to see and understand what Fiji has to offer in regards to opportunities over there, and it is definitely good exposure for the participants to understand what Fiji’s involvement in the Shared Services industry is.”
This is the second time Fiji has participated at a SSOW event. Events like this have been made possible with financial support from the Fijian Government, along with Outsource Fiji’s partnerships with the Australian Government’s Market Development Facility (MDF). Outsource Fiji also wishes to thank the Fiji Consulate General & Trade Commission – Australia & New Zealand for helping the team promote Fiji’s outsourcing sector.
